HOLLAR WEBSITE UX COPY

The Hollar navigation bar needed to be condensed while still keeping all the important categories accessible. The solution was to highlight the main categories and create various subcategories in drop-down menus.

Client: Hollar

My Role: Help simplify the navigation and shopping experience with easy-to-follow UX copy for the Hollar website.

Navigation Bar

A condensed version of the navigation bar featuring 5 of our top categories, our clearance section, dollar shop, and an updated search bar.

Category Dropdown Menus

Each of the top categories needed to be broken down into subcategories with their own landing pages. The biggest challenge to overcome came from the amount of products on the website that didn’t quite fit into certain subcategories. The subcategory names needed to be general enough to fit niche products but not become too vague, making finding such products difficult.

Category Landing Page

The goal of the landing pages were highlight the most popular subcategories at the top while populating the products below in an infinite scroll.

Welcome Modal

After scrolling a few rows, new users were greeted with a welcome modal prompting them to create an account with the reward of free shipping. This proved successful with a high rate of new accounts getting created.
